A1: I need a little bit of information. Do both files have the same file name. I have 2 seperate files on my PS3 one of a male character and one a female. These two files have sepearte names. Then you go to manage my golfers and load it with the second controller in the second slot. This is explained in another question. The PS3 is not like a PC it does not understand to make a file with the same name as a 2. i.e. THe PS3 can have tiger.dat, to make a second save file it has to have a different name. tiger1.dat. My 2 different names have no problem. I moved them seperatly when I create a new user. I can either have a male character or female. And I can also put them both on one user. A suggestion if they do have the same name file you might be able to copy it to your SD card then to your computer. Once in a file in the computer change the name of it and save it. Then copy it back to the SD card in the same file. This should make a different file name. BACK THE FILE UP BEFORE YOU DO THIS. I HAVE NOT TESTED THAT. I do have all my saved game data backed up on the computer so I do know you can move them there. You hate to lose hours of work on an RPG.

A3: Regardeless of t he name you use in the profile. The software has preset names for the directories it uses for the 4 players. So if both profiles were set up as user1 then they over write each other. The way around this is to set up teh profile as teh second user on one machine. I also went to my laptop and looked and teh usb drive I think you could change the name of the directory and it might work but I can't promise it.

A4: Had the same problem m8,the problem is the ps3 when you make a profile up in slot 1 the ps3 file is called "NAME"user 1,its the user 1 thats the same and thats why it keeps overwriting each time you try it
i tryed to change the file name on the comp,did`nt work.Once the files been made you can`t change it
the only thing you can do is start a profile in slot 2 on the tw09 game,this way 1 of you will be user 1 and the over person then will be user2

A5: When you load your golfer up for the first time in slot 1 it calls your golfer user 1 because its been made in slot 1
your m8 made his golfer in slot 1 meaning when you try to play each over on the same ps3 your both called user 1,thats why it overwrites each time,and theres nothin you can do I tryed to change my golfer on the comp to user2 but when you put it back in the ps3 its says corruped file
the only way round it is to make your golfer up in slot 2,3 and 4 this way you will be called user 2,3 or 4,not the best move by tw09 team

There are two reasons for this happening - if you're using the game golfers (Tiger, Daly, etc...) you have to make sure you change the controller setting when you choose golfers. If you're using gameface created profiles for each of you, it has to do with the controller assignment - you created both golfers using controller one so they're both assigned to controller 1. I haven't figured out how to change this but have a theory. You have to create each new gameface profile using a different controller.

This is for ANSWER 2 when you go to load a golfer for the second made player load it with controller number 2 this sets the golfer to the second red light in its slot. If the second slot is already loaded replace it with the same file from the controller that is set to slot number 2. This makes it so you can use 2 different built up players. If you are both using the same built up character then you have to swap the controller back and forth. No way around it. It took me a little bit to figure it out. -Answer by:I help you out
