Extra Hard (Veteran) Difficulty
How to: Complete a campaign on the hard difficulty level.
K. Monster
Description: After completing the game once, you have the chance to replay the game with new campaigns. Play up to the mission that has an unskippable movie of the K. Monster (from Macross F) and Zentradi enemies who will cheer for the singing idol.
After this cut-scene, find and touch the Monster (it will be in the flying shuttle form). You can locate its position on the mini-map as a blue dot, so if you have 2 wingmen, the Monster is one of the 3 blue dots on the map. After you clear this mission, that mech and its pilot will be unlocked.
Extra Hard (Ace) Difficulty
Description: Complete a campaign on the hard difficulty level.
Konig Monster Destroid
Description: After completing the game once, you have the chance to replay the game with new campaigns. One of the desert stages (after Crosswinds, or the cross-over stage) features a "NOT SKIP MOVIE" cut-scene with a Konig Monster Destroid (from Macross Frontiers) and Zentradi enemies who will cheer a singing Loli-Chan idol.
After the cut-scene, you will fight 2 bosses (one after another) with the idoru occasionally popping up (as an anime character) on your main screen. During these 2 boss fights, make an effort to bump into, or shoot, the allied Konig Monster (it will be the flying shuttle form).
You can locate its position on the mini-map as a blue dot; if you have 2 wingmen, the Monster shuttle is one of the 3 blue dots on the map. After you clear that mission, the mech and its pilot should be unlocked in your roster.
Point Gain Trick/Glitch
Description: There is a glitch in the game that allows you to instantly gain the maximum amounts of ace points and skill points, and this trick can be done at both the mech upgrade menu and the pilot upgrade menu.
First you have to get enough points so at least one upgrade can be purchased (but do not actually buy it). Next, make sure that the next upgrade (in either the same category or a different category) will raise the total cost beyond the currently available amount of points (if you press Right again, but do not do so yet until the next step).
Now, the trick here is to press RIGHT and CIRCLE together at the same time, so you request to purchase the upgrades just as the cost value rises past the available amount of points. If you do this trick correctly, the yes-no prompt will calculate a negative amount of remaining points. Choose yes, and notice how your current points will loop around to an incorrect number. Return to the previous menu in order to refresh the point value, and it will now read 99999999 points.
(Again, you must 1st have enough points to potentially purchase at least one upgrade, otherwise the yes-no prompt will not appear when you press RIGHT and CIRCLE together.)
